OWNER

REN ALLEN

Ren loves to live on the edge of life, chasing the next thrill. She is an outgoing, adrenaline junkie who loves to chase challenges. She has practiced extreme and team sports including soccer, surf, swim, snowboarding and bmx riding. She continued her athletic journey and found a deep passion in strength training. She is a competitive athlete and has competed in the National Physique Committee (NPC), CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting.

Ren is a firefighter’s wife, a mother to a son (7) and daughter (1), a business owner, once employed by Corporate America, Co-Chairwomen for Corporate Wellness, and still a woman who understands the importance of living a fit life while juggling responsibilities. Living a fit life is a lifestyle she has a adopted, always push for greater limits while helping others do the same. She is a fitness and nutrition coach focusing on motivating others to live strong, be healthy and to inspire our future while maintaining a balanced and fit life.

MICAH ALLEN

Micah Allen has been an avid enthusiast of fitness and sports since high school. His athletic career began on the Varsity Soccer, Track and Field teams. He began CrossFit in 2015 and has been coaching since 2019.

He and his wife Ren spend a lot of time at the box or in the garage at their home, sharing their passion for the sport of fitness. In addition to being a Firefighter, he is the father of two amazing kids and hopes to share with them his love for fitness.

SARA JESTER

Sara is a coach at FLxR and owner of Barbell Kitchen. With 11 years of coaching experience, she teaches the science of movement and simplicity of nutrition through CrossFit group, 1:1 coaching and her private nutrition coaching practice. She’s dedicated her coaching methods to helping people feel and look their best, sharing with them the pillars of health – food, exercise, sleep, and community.

She lives in San Marcos with her two kids and used science-based research to help her children, fellow gym-members, and global community implement strategies towards improved health. Through her experience at CrossFit, her training in Ayurveda, and continued education, she continues to build a framework to help clients learn long-term strategies towards wellness and looks forward to working with you. When she’s not coaching, you can catch her in the kitchen baking, swimming, or olympic lifting.

AMANDA WILSON

From a young age, Amanda was involved in various sports and developed a profound love for fitness and physical training. Her journey led her to discover CrossFit, where she found the perfect blend of functional movements, intensity, and community. Inspired by the transformative power of CrossFit in her own life, Amanda set out to share her knowledge and help others achieve their fitness goals. She believes in fostering a supportive and inclusive training environment, where every athlete feels valued and encouraged to push their limits.Amanda has a background in neuroscience and psychology and loves learning how the brain and body work together. She was born and raise in Colorado and is big time mountain gal! When she’s not at the gym, you can find her probably outdoors exploring with her side kick Tucker (her dog) or doing something active like paddle boarding, running, biking, or swimming!

CEDAR COLEMAN

Cedar made the decision to change his lifestyle. He quickly realized that small changes could lead to big results. He love seeing what he can do and watching the PR's as he gained strength, agility and joy from fitness. He wants to help others find the same joy he has found through fitness.

NICOLE BROTT

Nicole was very lucky to grow up in a very active house that instilled a love of fitness in her. She dabbled in many sports in school, track and field, volleyball, basketball, softball. However outside of school was dedicated for several years to gymnastics and then shifted to dance. In her early twenties she floated in and out of fitness in the gym frequently getting bored. Then in her late thirties (very late 39) she found CrossFit and insistently fell in love. It gave her the strength that she hadn't had since her young days in gymnastics. Now at almost 50 she is in the best shape of her adult life and gets so much joy out of helping other reach their full physical potential.

TARA LOPEZ

Tara has always been athletic. She grew up in Nor Cal playing Volleyball, Basketball and Softball. After college and having 2 kids she wanted to do something that would help her be the BEST version of herself and also help other people do the same.

She started coaching 8+years ago and LOVES every minute of it. She has coached all different types of classes from CrossFit, sports teams, kids/teens, personal clients and even the elderly at an assisted living complex. Whether you’re a competitive athlete or just a person who wants to live a long, healthier, balanced life, she will help you every step of the way.

MADDIE MILLS

Maddie grew up playing a variety of sports but wasn’t a competitive athlete. When she went to college on the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Scholarship, it was then that she really got into fitness. Once she arrived to her first duty station, she found a local CrossFit box so she could continue her workout routine and make friends in a new city. She was instantly hooked; Not only does it provide a great workout, you build confidence and mental fortitude. Every time you show up to a class, you are keeping that promise you made to yourself to get better. Every time you pick up the barbell when you think you don’t have one more rep in you, you’ve proven to yourself you are capable. When we were kids, we always looked forward to recess, that time of day when we could play and have fun. CrossFit allows that for adults. It is sometimes the only hour of our day where we get to play and have fun, while also reaching new goals. Just when you think you’ve mastered something, your coach will ask a little bit more from you: to add more weight…do it the same, but faster this time…don’t let your form break down on those final reps, and so on. “CrossFit has been life-changing for me, and I want that for everyone I have the pleasure to coach. There aren’t many things that bring me more joy than getting to help people be the best version of themselves. I have been a nurse for 12 ½ years. I’ve seen people at their worst and helping others be their best, living healthy lifestyles, is so fulfilling to me.”

GINA DUKE

Prior to finding FLxR, Gina focused her energy on her running goals. Having completed several half, and eventually her first full marathon, she decided she needed a new fitness challenge. Once she found CrossFit she was hooked! It appealed to her competitive spirit and need for a community based fitness environment, where she could make friends along with gains. She now has several new goals, and is excited to help others reach theirs, too!

VANESSA AGUIRRE

Vanessa started her fitness journey in 2016. She dabbed her feet in multiple types of exercises on her quest to find ultimate health. Dancing is in her blood! She translated this passion into health and became certified Zumba instructor. She loves working with groups of men and women, and does so in both class and private settings. She is a Certified Personal Trainer and CrossFit Level 1 Coach who is passionate about weightlifting, sharing wellness, and proper training techniques to achieve total wellness.

She is enthusiastic, and always looking for fun, new forms of training and enjoys the challenge and the sense of achievement obtained when reaching her greatest goals.
