2022 FLxR STREET FIGHT

In this team based event, members of all experience levels will battle as partners to hold the title of Champion. Who will take home the trophy and hold bragging rights? Will it be 'Team Nikki' or 'Team Ren'?!

The 2022 FLxR's STREET FIGHT kicks off November 12th. This is a FLxR family and friends only competition. We hope to have fun with the sport of CrossFit as well to challenge you to push yourself like you may never have before!  Yes, this is a competition! Movement standards will be upheld and together we will keep each other accountable as judges. Don’t worry! We aren’t doing anything here that you haven’t done before and we are here to encourage you! We want everyone to feel accomplished at the end of the competition. As always, reach out to Ren or Micah so that we can answer any questions.

Our goal is to make this our biggest community event yet! 100% participation. EVERYONE will be able to complete these events. There is still time to register!

Breakdown

  • 4 workouts on Nov. 12th

  • The field will be broken down into two teams - (Team Nikki vs. Team Ren).  The two teams will compete against each other. Team leaders will select groups of partners for each workouts. They will be there to offer tips and tricks leading into each week.

  • Team workouts with partners of either Male/Male or Female/Female.

    • Event 1 - 2 athletes (1 pair)

    • Event 2 - 4 athletes (2 pairs)

    • Event 3 - 6 athletes (3 pairs)

    • Floater - 2 athletes (1 pair)

  • Workouts and movements standards will be released no later than the Monday prior to the workouts on Saturday

  • Workouts must be judged, no independent workouts

Saturday

  • One Day Event on November 12th at 8:00am

  • Arrive with partner no later than 8:00am on Saturday to check-in and warm-up

  • WOD brief and movement demo at 8:30am

  • Heats to start immediately after at 9:00am

  • Expect to be at the gym for approx 4-5 hours. 

  • Bring snacks, water, chairs, hats and sweaters.  We will try to get everyone through the workouts in a quick and efficient manner, however, downtime between heats and workouts is expected for recovery.

Events & Movement Standards (Events will be added as released)

  • Event 1 - The Cluster (2 Athletes) (Movement Standards)

    • Part A:

      • AMRAP 8 (0:00 - 8:00)

        • 12 Thrusters

        • 12 Toes to Bar

          • Rx - 95/65

          • Fitness - 65/45, knee raises

    • Part B:

      • In 6 minutes (8:00 - 14:00)

        • Athlete #1 build to a heavy squat clean + front squat

        • Athlete #2 will build to a heavy clean + jerk

    • Scoring:

      • There are two scores. Score #1 is the total reps from Part A. Score #2 is a combined total of pounds lifted by each athlete in Part B of the workout.

  • Event 2 - Dead Assault (4 Athletes) (Movement Standards)

    • 4 Rounds for time:

      • 50 Cals on Assault Bike

      • Synchronized Deadlifts

        • Rx - 225/155

        • Fitness - 155/105

      • Team A will start on the assault bike. Athletes can swap out as often as they see fit until prescribed calories are completed

      • While Team A is on the assault bike, Team B will perform synchro deadlifts. Team B will attempt to get as many reps as possible until Team A completes prescribed calories

      • Team performing the deadlifts can break as often as they see fit

      • At the start of the next round Team A and Team B will switch positions

    • Scoring

      • There are two scores. Score #1 is the total time to finish the 4 rounds. Score #2 is the total reps completed of the deadlifts.

  • Event 3 - Tag! You’re It! (6 Athletes) (Movement Standards)

    • For Time:

      • 1500m Row

      • 100 Weighted Box Step Overs

      • Move Odd Objects to Point A

      • 750m Row

      • 50 Weighted Box Step Overs

      • Move Odd Objects to Point B

        • RX: 53/35 kettlebell, 20” box

        • SX: 35/25 kettlebell, 20” box

      • Chipper style; must complete each movement before moving onto the next

      • All equipment will be placed in a lane for each team

      • All team members must wait behind the start stop line; 1 team working at a time

        • 1 team working at a time = 2 rowers, 2 plyo boxes with kettlebell in each lane

        • All reps must be completed per rower/plyo box before moving on to next movement

      • Teams may swap out and tag in next team as often as then see fit

      • Odd Objects to be β€œmoved”

        • 150 lbs sandbag

        • 50 lbs d-ball

        • 40 lbs d-ball

        • 30 med ball x2

        • 70 lbs dumbbell

        • 50 lbs dumbbell x2

        • 45 lbs bumper plate x4

        • 35 lbs bumper plate x4

        • 25 lbs bumper plate x4

        • 15 lbs bumper plate x6

        • and……1 plyo box because, why not?

  • Floater WOD - Ski Carry (2 Athletes) (Movement Standards)

Judging

  • Each team will be judged during the workout.  Look, we want this to be fun for everyone, so the instructions for judging are to make sure that people are attempting to do their best to follow movement standards.  We won’t be hardcore judges like they are at the CrossFit Games, however, we do want their to be a minimum standard

  • Judges with either be coaches, or fellow athletes

  • Scoring cards and movement standards will be provided to everyone during the competition

  • Any discrepancies or questions, either Ren or Micah will have the final say on any scoring or judging issues
